Delete Your Trotters Account

In compliance with Google Play and Apple App Store policies, you can easily delete your Trotters Rider or Trotters Driver account and erase your personal data either directly from the mobile app or via this web portal.

Method 1: Delete Directly from the Mobile App (Instant)

Recommended if you have the app installed

  1. Open the Trotters App (Trotters Rider or Trotters Driver).
  2. Navigate to your Profile by tapping the Profile/Account icon in the navigation bar.
  3. Scroll down to Settings / Account Security and tap "Delete Account & Data".
  4. Confirm your security password or biometric verification. Your account is immediately deactivated and scheduled for permanent purge.

Method 2: Submit Web Account Deletion Request

Data Deleted Permanently
  • •User Identity: Full name, phone number, email address, avatar photo.
  • •Location Data: Real-time GPS tracking coordinates, favourite places, home/work addresses.
  • •Device Credentials: Push notification FCM tokens, device identifiers, and active login sessions.
  • •Preferences: App settings, audio notifications, and marketing preferences.
Data Retained for Regulatory Compliance
  • •Financial Invoices & Tax Logs: Ride invoices, VAT/TRA electronic tax receipts, and payment ledger entries are retained for up to 5-7 years as strictly required by Tanzanian financial and tax laws.
  • •Safety & Regulatory Audit Records: Unresolved safety incidents or official LATRA regulatory reports are retained strictly for lawful compliance and dispute resolution.
  • •Anonymized Metrics: Aggregate analytical metrics stripped of any personally identifiable information.
Processing Timeline: Permanent deletion completed within 30 days of verification.
